When do you give HELTIE horse Joints and when HELTIE horse Silicon?

At HELTIE horse® we have three supplements aimed at your horse's joints: The herbs of HELTIE horse® Joints, the mineral silicon in our HELTIE horse® Silicon and cannabinoids extractes from cloves in our HELTIE horse® Cannabidol. We are often asked which supplement can be given when. What is the difference? In short, HELTIE horse Joints® are based on herbs and mainly aimed at training horses and competition horses. It prevents stiffness and supports the removal of waste products that arise during exercise. HELTIE horse® Silicon contains the easily absorbable, liquid form of the mineral silicon, which is important for all horses. Silicon supports the muscles, tendons, joints, cartilage and synovial fluid. A silicon deficiency can play a role, especially in horses that have some wear in their joints. HELTIE horse® Cannabidol has a very high therapeutic level of anti-inflammatory and pain relief. Next to that it supports the body's endocannabinoid system (ECS system).

HELTIE horse® Joints: for sport horses

With prolonged exertion and stress, crystalline deposits often form in the joints of sport horses, which can cause painful inflammation. These crystals are formed from uric acid, which is released during the protein metabolism. With too much effort, too high a concentration of uric acid in the blood can develop and crystallization begins. In humans, you call this joint condition "gout." The body often has difficulty getting rid of the uric acid and crystals quickly. This leads to stiffness and a lower load capacity of your horse. The herbs in HELTIE horse® Joints suppress this crystal formation and stimulate the production of cartilage fluid, the lubricant for the joints. You can use HELTIE horse® Joints preventively, but you can also use them if your horse has already become a bit stiffer. This supplement includes: turmeric, Boswelia, horsetail (Equisethum arvense), black currant and bamboo. • Turmeric: Powerful anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, detoxifying effect • Boswelia: Strong anti-inflammatory • Horsetail: Analgesic, anti-inflammatory, mild diuretic, contains many minerals • Blackcurrant: Anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-allergic • Bamboo: Good for cartilage and collagen

HELTIE horse® Silicon: Mineral supplement for tendons, ligaments and joints

While you may think of a hard and unchanging body part when you think of a bone, that is not quite the correct picture. Bones are also constantly changing. Old bone cells are continuously replaced by new ones. And the structures around the bones, such as cartilage, tendons, bands and joint capsules, are constantly renewing. The mineral silicon plays an important role in this innovation. Research has shown that horses that were given silicon were less susceptible to injuries. It is also an important mineral for growing horses, studies show. In humans, it has been shown that bone density is greater when our diet contains more than enough silicon. If you want to give a silicon supplement, you have to pay attention that it is easily absorbed. Absorbability is highest with silicon in hydrolysed liquid form.

HELTIE horse Cannabidol: Supports endocannabinoid system and had very high therapeutic level of anti-inflammatory and pain relief.

Scientists only discovered in the early 1990s that humans and animals have an endocannabinoid system. This system is the “signal generator” in the body. It checks at cell level whether there is a problem. The system then sends a signal to the brain so that it can send the correct auxiliary chemicals to the relevant cell. In this way, the endocannabinoid system regulates certain processes in the body, such as pain, inflammation and the immune system. Read here more about this system. This supplement has a high therapeutical level of anti-inflammation and pain relief. If your horse has severe joint problems than this is usually accompanied by inflammation and pain. Therefore we always advice to give this high natural anti-inflammatory supplement, extracted from cloves. View HELTIE horse® Cannabidol.

Conclusion: The perfect combination

HELTIE horse® joints is often the logical choice for sport horses or horses that trained on a higher level. HELTIE horse® Silicium is de building material for healthy joints, for young horses that are still growing but also for horses who are trained. HELTIE horse® Cannabidol is anti inflammatory and pain-killing. We advise to always give this with severe joint problems in combination with the mineral silicon. Together they form the perfect combination to keep your horse moving smoothly. • HELTIE horse® Joints: Supports the synovial fluid and prevents crystals from depositing in the joints. • HELTIE horse® Silicon: Mineral for building bone, cartilage and connective tissue, so that injuries can be prevented. • Heltie horse® Cannabidol: High level of anti-inflammatory and pain relief. Stimmulates the body's endocannabinoid system (ECS system). A combination of products is advised when your horse has joint problems. For example, we advice to give an older horse the combination of HELTIE horse® Cannabidol with Silicon. Silicon as the building material and Cannabidol because the ECS system is will be supported. For horses in competition we advise to combine HELTIE horse® Joints with the mineral Silicon. HELTIE horse® Joints to prevent crystallization of uric acid and the mineral Silicon as building material, but also to make the joints stronger so that there is less risk of injuries. All products are 100% pure and guaranteed doping-free. You can therefore continue to drive competitions.   Sources:
