What is triphala?
The literal translation of triphala is 3 fruits. It comes from Ayurvedic herbal medicine and consists of 3 fruits from the Himalayan region. The fruits are: Amalaki, Bibhitaki and Haritaki. These three fruits individually have their own medicinal properties, but combined they work synergistically meaning they reinforce and complement each other.
Triphala contains a high content of vitamin C, minerals and is rich in powerful antioxidants. It can be used:
- To support digestion
- For a good bowel function
- For a balanced blood sugar level during training
- To support the immune system
- To support a healthy acid-base balance
- To support the (sugar) metabolism
Dosage & Application
HELTIE horse® Triphala may be given over the feed. Close bag tightly after use and store in a dry place.
Dosage: 1 gram per 100 kg body weight (2x daily). One measuring spoon weighs approximately 6 grams.
Not suitable for pregnant mares, unless in consultation with doctor or therapist.
